PRIMARY MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT
Tangen Counseling is a Colorado State Licensed Community Mental Health Clinic. Through the Community Mental Health Clinic, Clients seeking treatment at Tangen Counseling are able to receive a variety of mental health services for symptoms of trauma with or without a co-occurring mental health diagnosis. Services range from a comprehensive evaluation and determination of care needs, case management services, outpatient groups (ranging from 2-8 hours per week) and even Intensive Outpatient Treatment for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (ranging from 9-15 hours per week).
INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAMMING

The average length of treatment is 4-6 weeks

Clients attend between 9 -14 hours of group treatment on a weekly basis dependent on the individual needs

For at minimum the first month of treatment, clients receive twice weekly individual therapy and then
when assessed as appropriate stepped down to once weekly for the remaining duration -
At the time of intake clients are evaluated for medication needs and set up with a provider for medication management when appropriate

Clients are assigned a Peer Wellness Coach who collaborates with the Clinical Treatment Team to maximize
treatment gains
OUTPATIENT PROGRAMMING

The average length of treatment varies between 4 – 12 months dependent on the individual needs of the client

Clients attend between 2 - 8 hours of group treatment on a weekly basis dependent on the individual needs

Clients receive regular individual therapy from an assigned Primary Clinician.
