Tangen Counseling is a Colorado State Licensed Treatment Facility that offers comprehensive dual diagnosis treatment programming for the treatment of substance misuse in a person’s life.  While receiving primary behavioral addiction treatment services at the Tangen Counseling, a client will first be evaluated by a Clinical Professional to determine appropriateness for treatment and the individual’s medical needs and necessities based on ASAM Levels of Care.  The levels of care that we currently provide are:

​INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAMMING

• The average length of treatment is 12 -15 weeks 

• Clients attend between 9 -14 hours of group treatment on a weekly basis dependent on the individual needs 

• For at minimum the first month of treatment, clients receive twice weekly individual therapy and then when assessed as appropriate stepped down to once weekly for the remaining duration 

• At the time of intake clients are evaluated for medication needs and set up with a provider for medication management when appropriate 

• Clients are assigned a Peer Recovery Coach who collaborates with the Clinical Treatment Team to maximize
  treatment gains

OUTPATIENT PROGRAMMING

• The average length of treatment varies between 4 – 12 months dependent on the individual needs of the client 

• Clients attend between 2 - 8 hours of group treatment on a weekly basis dependent on the individual needs 

• Clients receive regular individual therapy from an assigned Primary Clinician. 

• At the time of intake clients are evaluated for medication needs and set up with a provider for medication management when appropriate 

• Clients are assigned a Peer Recovery Coach who collaborates with the Clinical Treatment Team to maximize
  treatment gains
